We looked at several houses before we looked at, and eventually purchased, the house we now live in, which was built by Casteel Construction. It was great to work with Chuck, especially since he was so helpful, friendly and ready to assist. Being our first time buying a home and moving from out of town we had several questions and concerns and Chuck was always available and willing to help in any way possible. We worked with Chuck on the finishing touches of our house and were able to customize certain aspects as well as handling our landscaping requests prior to closing. Our first time home buying experience was just that – an experience; however Chuck was really able to make it a smooth process by listening to our requests and providing honest suggestions. Casteel Construction built my new custom home in 2010. Chuck helped me throughout the entire process of building the house, from selecting a lot to build on, to working with the bank in setting up my loan, designing the house so we would be happy with the end product, and of course building the actual house. He was in constant touch with me during the entire process, making sure to ask many questions about exactly what I wanted regarding every detail of the house and informing me on the cons and pros of each decision. The best part is Casteel Construction stands behind their work and if something doesn’t go as planned or work as it should, they will make sure to come out and make it right.

Our first home purchase was a custom built home with Casteel Construction. Chuck was very patient and helpful during the process of creating and making several changes to the floor plan. The building process was very exciting and couldn't have gone more smoothly. Chuck made sure to involve us in decision making every step of the way. We closed on our lot in March and moved into our home the first of July. We couldn't be happier with the finished product. Over the past 6 years I have worked with Chuck at Casteel Construction of Helena, Montana on several remodeling projects and currently live in a home he built. Chuck did an excellent job of remodeling my basement 6 years ago when I lived on the upper west side in a 1950s ranch home. During this project my laundry room and family room were updated with new insulation, sheetrock, paint, duct and electrical updates. A beautiful new bathroom was installed which meant adding new plumbing and updating sewer pipes. What was previously a dark, cold and dreary area of my home became light, airy, warm and cozy adding greatly to the overall value of my home. Chuck listened to my concerns, stayed within my budget and had great ideas for opening up the basement so everything flowed well with the addition of the new bathroom. Recently I sold this home and received the price I felt it was worth, without the remodel job that Chuck did it would not have been as appealing to families looking for a new home.
Chuck has recently finished remodeling a 20 year old townhouse on the upper east side for my family. Previously it had been on the market for 9 months without an offer. Chuck updated light fixtures and fans, replacing garish older fixtures with an updated pewter style, added a new front door and recycled the old front door window into the back door saving time and money. Door knobs and door hardware were also updated with new pewter ones creating a whole new look for this smaller townhouse where every detail matters. He also painted and made other minor repairs. Within in the first week of recently listing the townhouse it was sold!
I currently live in a home that Chuck built in the Northgate Meadows Subdivision approximately 7 years ago. This home is one of the first homes built in this newer, popular area of Helena. Chuck’s selection of the lot, design and quality construction of the home have been perfect for our family. 26 below yesterday in Helena and we were warm and cozy. Chucks attention to detail and style give our current home a combination of elegance and coziness. Our home’s value has grown as almost all of the lots available in our area are now built on, most new homes being sold before they are completed.
